AfterDark LED Products

Our 5 sizes of LED systems come in 3 different configurations, the Single LED chips are used on the Sport and Foam Flyer systems, the Triple LED chips are used on the Xtreme Flyer and Giant Scale systems and Single Individual LEDs are used on the Micro Flyer system.

All or our strip LED systems consist of High Output LEDs on Flexible White circuit material backed with 3M self-adhesive tape. Each LED has a wide 120 degree viewing angle. They come pre-assembled with a standard servo connector for power. Voltage required is 9.6 to 13.5vdc.

Our Micro Flyer LED system uses High Intensity Individual 5mm LEDs, with pre-soldered leads of micro light wire and operates off of a 1S lipo, or 4.2vdc.

Each system has a Left wingtip section with 3 Red LED strips and 1 White LED strip, a Right wingtip section with 3 Green LED strips and 1 White LED strip, and 2 Yellow LED strips. The Colors are for the outside of the wingtips, the White act as headlights on the leading edge of the wings, the Yellow are for the tail sections.

Connections are made easily by using standard servo extensions and "y" cables. The only thing you have to solder is whatever battery plug you may use.

Giant Scale LED system

Giant Scale LED system

Extremely Bright system consists of 114 Triple Chip White LEDs and 42 Single Chip LEDs for a total of 384 LEDs.

(1) Left wingtip module, (1) Right wingtip module, (2) Tail modules

Each wingtip module is a 6 legged starburst shaped section with the legs joined together by a common mounting hub, with 4 legs of 9 Triple Chip White LEDs (Angled) and 2 legs of 6 Triple Chip White LEDs (Straight). Outside of the mounting hub is 15 Single Chip LEDs in Red or Green.

(2) Vertical stabilizer lighting modules consisting of (6) up and (3) down Triple Chip White LEDs facing inwards to the tail and (6) Yellow Single Chip LEDs facing outwards.

Modules are constructed out of lightweight high strength Carbon Fiber. System comes in it's own storage/transport foam lined case.

Powered by 12.6vdc and power gets connected with standard servo extensions. System pulls 1.9amps fully illuminated. We recommend a 3S1P 2100mah LiPo pack, this will provide power for over 30 minutes.

AfterDarkLED Lighting Controller

The LED Lighting Controller plugs into an empty receiver channel and can be set to turn the LEDs Off, On and vary the intensity.

You just program your radio to control the receiver channel the Controller is on. You can set it up on a 3 position switch for instance and then program the 3 positions at 0%, 50% & 100%, or you can use a slider channel and vary the intensity yourself, or a 2 position switch to just turn them Off and On
